The city is also known internationally for Hollywood, the biggest film industry in the Western world. Several countries hold their own film festivals in Los Angeles - including India, Israel, Armenia, France, Italy, and Russia - attracting an array of diverse audiences from their own communities, the film industry, students and filmgoers.

LAGFF is welcomed by the Greek community in Los Angeles (more than 50,000), other ethnic communities from the Balkans (comprising more than 90,000), Eastern Mediterranean communities (comprising more than 70,000) as well as the strong Armenian community of Los Angeles with more than 166,000 persons living in the city's metropolitan area.

LAGFF reaches out to the large film student population of the city, industry professionals in search for undiscovered talent, philhellenes who will not miss the opportunity to see films from or about their favorite place in the world, and, last but not least, the active and curious Los Angeles moviegoers. The LAGFF team is committed to making every effort possible in order to cultivate cross-cultural communication. Greek filmmakers and the American audience will have a chance to inspire and be inspired by one another, the richness of cultural diversity and the discovery of films that under usual circumstances do not cross borders.

This category includes contributions in cash or in kind of less than $2,000, with a minimum of $500.
Friends are entitled to having their company name listed on the LAGFF website and in the Festival catalogue,
and to 2 festival passes to all regular screenings and panels.
